Filipe Restaurant is located on the seafront, half walls with Sesimbra’s beach, the “Pearl of the Portuguese C\u00f4te d’Azur”. In 1986 the historic cafe has evolved into restaurant. In the natural line of succession of life, it moved from father to son, maintaining as a reference for quality and good service. The owner Pedro Filipe has over three decades of experience and dedication, managing the business with the same energy he started with.<\/p>\n

At the height of recession, when unfortunately many historical sites were forced to close their doors, Filipe Restaurant continued to invest in its infrastructure, keeping this guideline in order to offer its customers the comfort inherent in a unique gastronomic experience.<\/p>\n

“Filipe\u2019s” history intersects with the village history, where once, they could see from the current panoramic balcony, the “traditional beach fish market” – the fish market selling in full areal. The fish were arranged parallel and with great care, performing a magnificent design worthy of a wall frame.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

It was here in the “Largo da Marinha”, former “Largo dos Valentes” that everything happens and the business took place around the fish auction sale. It was and is the centre of Sesimbra, and it was here that the current restaurant stood up and keep up to today.<\/p>\n

Is part of our routine since long years ago spend holidays in Sesimbra, and as such every year we are Caf\u00e9 Filipe customers. Here all kind of fish is amazingly delicous, since sardines, golden bream, stone bass, turbot... The Shellfish rice with lobster is really very good. Good service and the owner, Pedro, always attentive with his customers. Certainly should to visit when in Sesimbra. <\/span><\/em><\/pre>\n

Extremely well located Restaurant, close to Santiago Fortress, with a wonderfull view to the sea. We ate a Swordfish with shrimps \"Cataplana\" and was divine, with a Periquita white wine. The attendants very friendly and attentive. Abstracting: simply fantastic!<\/span><\/em>:)<\/span><\/pre>\n

The fresh fish, the pleasant ambiente, the hygiene, the location two steps to the sea, and the friendly attendants - from the cook (Mr. Rui) to the owner Mr. Filipe, become Caf\u00e9 Filipe, for me, the best restaurant of Sesimbra. I suggest the swordfish grilled and the squids kebab. <\/span><\/em><\/pre>\n
